Pneumatic Actuators & Positioners - Mobile Type Air Cylinders
Rexroth Actuatorr Positioners are compact, pneumatically operated devices used for acuurate positioning of engine govermor control arms, butterfly valves, carburetors and other low-force mechanisms.
Rexroth offers three types of positioners: diaphragm-wit radial motion lever, diaphragm-linear, and cylinder-linear. All three models use same basic principle of applying a predeterinated air pressure (supplied by a Rexroth Type "H" Controlair Valve or Type M Plus proportional pressure control valve).
A PILOTAIR Valves
“A” Pilotair® Pneumatic Directional Control Valves Features and Specifications “A” PILOTAIR, Block-type and Panel Mounted Valves The REXROTH “A” PILOTAIR Valves are block-type and
panel-mounted poppet-type directional valves which open, close or vent an air circuit. The poppet-type directional valve is ideal for frequent usage because of its ease of operation. This valve line makes maximum use of high production parts which are interchangeable throughout this product line as well as providing interchangeability of parts with the poppets in our Controlair ® and Flexair® Valve product lines. A definite advantage is gained when all of these products are used in the same application.
H Control Pneumatic Valves
The REXROTH Type “H” CONTROLAIR Valves are a family of pneumatic pressure regulating, directional valves. They are versatile three- and four-way pressure regulating valves or a combination of pressure regulating and non-regulating three-way valves. Hand, foot or mechanically operated, these valves control both pressure and flow of air. Some control these functions in one air circuit. Others selectively control these functions in two separate and independent air circuits or in branches of the same circuit. Still others control these functions either selectively or simultaneously
in three separate and independent branches of an air circuit.
P ROTAIR Valves
The ROTAIR Valve is a handle-operated, rotary-type, directional control valve. Air-flow patterns are selected by using up to eight distinct handle posotions, and delivery air is directed through a rotary valve to the necessary number of delivery ports.
D PILOTAIR Valves
“D” PILOTAIR Valves are spool type directional valves with two-way, three-way or four-way operation. They are built with open exhaust ports and with tapped exhaust ports. With different valve stems the three-way and fourway valves may have a mid-position where all ports are lapped, supply is connected to delivery or delivery is connected to exhaust.
Lever, button, pedal, treadle, cam pilot cylinder or solenoid operates the “D” PILOTAIR Valve. These operators may be put on either end or both (see OPERATION). The operator may have springs to return the valve system to its normal position when the operating force is removed.
FLEXAIR Valves
Precise control of cylinders, clutches, or other pneumatic equipment is now possible trhough the REXROTH FLEXAIR Valve. REXROTH´s FLEXAIR Valve is especiality useful to control oil drilling rigs, excavating machinery, hoists, dreges, production machines, and special purpose equipment.
M Plus Pressure Control Valves
When an application dictates low cost, medium-flow capacity and accurate control of pressure, the Type M Plus Pressure Control Valve answers the need. The Type M Plus Pressure Control Valve is designed for short-distance (up to 50 feet or 15.2 meters), low-force pressure control applications. Installed with the proper positioner it replaces mechanical linkage, push-pull cable and master slave hydraulic positioning systems.
Delivery pressure is controlled by the position of the operating lever or pedal. Any increase or decrease in the system pressure is automatically compensated for by the valve once the desired output pressure is established.

Relayair Valves
The Relayair Valve has three basic uses:
-
As a nongraduated relay to provide a large flow of air from a separated source when piloted by small amount of control media and a stop this flow exhaust the air to atmosphere when the control pressure is vented.
-
As an interlock to govern the flow in one circuit by placing its control in another independent circuit.
-
As a pressure-sensitive sequence valve for such circuits funtions as timing, cycling, etc.
S Pressure Regulators
Balanced Valve - Initiates flow when downstream pressure drops as little as 1 psi.
Nylon Reinforced Diaphragm - Provides long life and provides tight shut off.
Easy Maintenance - Removal of bonnet allows repair of all parts without disconnecting unit from piping.
Large Exhaust Valve - For fast response. Exhausts downward, allowing unit to be washed down.
OPTIONAL FEATURES
Panel Mounting - Top of bonnet can be offered with tapped holes per drawing, for use with any operator.
Bracket Mounting - Provides ample strength from "L" shape, cadmium plated steel construction.
Marine Air Clutch Panel Interface
Air Clutch Control Panel incorporates the interface between the electronic propulsion controls and the Reverse Gear Air Clutches which are used to control vessel directions.
Marine CONTROLAIR Model 2A-2A
Rugged and reliable, the 2A-2A remains a favorite
Rexroth brought back the 2A-2A Controlair due to the valves undying popularity. Captains prefer the 2A-2A Controlair as the clear choice among controls because of its purpose-built design. The “Z” slot cover to guide the handle travel and the ability to lock the handle in position are the main reasons the 2A-2A continues to be a favorite.
The 2A-2A valve was designed especially for marine control applications. It provides singlehanded control of propulsion direction and engine speed for finger-tip maneuvering control. The large easy-to-operate control handle moves through a “Z” slot, putting the clutch in neutral when the handle is in the middle of crossover portion of the “Z”. The handle locks in any position simply by twisting the handle.

Experience and expertise combined with world-class products. Working with Rexroth means working with a partner who can show you how to apply pneumatics for your competitive advantage.
Pneumatic Controls for Rail Cars
Bosch Rexroth Pneumatics has been the leading pneumatic component manufacturer for automation of hopper cars since the 1960’s. The involvement by Rexroth with the railroad industry dates back to the late 1800’s when we were part of Westinghouse Air Brake Company, then WABCO Fluid Power. Our success can be attributed to high quality, reliable, and innovative products, along with an unsurpassed customer satisfaction record. Today we supply the rail car industry with double acting pneumatic cylinders and directional control valves (like SuperSpool™) for control of hopper gates. Other accessory devices supplied include check valves, quick exhaust valves, filters and regulators. Products are designed for long life with easy installation and repair, keeping downtime to a minimum.
